eFTI Freight Transport IT Infrastructure

Funds studies, works, and mixed projects to develop and implement electronic freight transport information (eFTI) digital platforms and systems across EU Member States on the TEN-T network. Public authorities and transport operators (including companies) can apply individually or in consortiums to modernise freight transport infrastructure and ensure interoperability between eFTI systems and other transport ICT platforms.

About this call

Objective:The objective is to modernise freight transport infrastructure on the TEN-T network.Scope:Studies and / or works related to:Projects supporting Member States to develop and implement IT platforms and processes in accordance with the eFTI Regulation[1], andProjects supporting further interoperability and interconnectivity between the eFTI environment and the different ICT systems and platforms used for recording and processing regulatory information as provided for in other Union transport legislation. Where relevant, the projects should take into account the innovative new technologies and solutions in the fields of smart applications for transport resulting from Horizon Europe activities as well as the re-use of the European Digital Building Blocks[2].Digital platforms supported under CEF must be accessible for use by all operators on a non-discriminatory basis.[1] Regulation (EU) 2020/1056 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 July 2020 on electronic freight transport information (OJ L 249, 31.7.2020, p. 33).[2] https://ec.europa.eu/digital-building-blocks/wikis/display/DIGITAL/Digital+Homepage
